Grain prices in Russia began to rise due to frosts

In Russia, grain prices showed “explosive phenomena” last week, and they are still continuing, writes the Interfax agency, citing monitoring by the analytical company ProZerno.

Prices for third-grade wheat rose the most — by 525 rubles, to 12,988 rubles per ton (EXW, including VAT) — in the Volga region. They actively increased in the center, the Chernozem region and in the south — by 400 rubles, to 1,2733, 1,2710 and 15,030 rubles, respectively.

According to experts, prices for fourth-grade wheat in the south increased even more – by 786 rubles, to 13,817 rubles. The increase in cost in the Volga region amounted to 475 rubles, up to 11,075 rubles, in the Chernozem region — 390 rubles, up to 11,410 rubles, in the Urals — 125 rubles, up to 12,063 rubles, in the center — the least, by 100 rubles, up to 11,200 rubles per a ton

Prices for fifth-grade wheat increased the most in the Chernozem region — by 690 rubles, to 10,230 rubles. In the Volga region, the increase was 525 rubles, up to 9,875 rubles, in the center — 385 rubles, up to 9,800 rubles, in the south — 285 rubles, up to 12,017 rubles.

In turn, barley rose in price the most in the south – by 435 rubles, to 12,650 rubles. In the center the increase was 265 rubles, up to 9,550 rubles, in the Chernozem region – 210 rubles, up to 9,800 rubles. In the south, prices for corn increased sharply — by 1,135 rubles, to 13,567 rubles per ton; in the center the increase was 250 rubles, up to 10,517 rubles per ton.
