The Ministry of Agriculture distributed quotas for sugar exports to the EAEU countries

The Russian Ministry of Agriculture has distributed quotas for 181.5 thousand tons of cane or beet sugar and chemically pure sucrose in the solid state among exporters for export to member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the department reports.

16 organizations received the right to export.

Let us remind you that the temporary ban on sugar exports is valid from the beginning of May until the end of August. “The measure is aimed at maintaining the stability of the domestic food market,” the Russian Ministry of Agriculture emphasizes. An exception is made for certain volumes of supplies to the EAEU countries. For Armenia – 28 thousand tons, Belarus – 5 thousand tons. For Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan – 120 thousand and 28.5 thousand tons, respectively.
