Russia rose to 4th place in supplies of agricultural products to India
In January–March 2024, India increased imports of agricultural products from Russia by 1.8 times compared to the same period last year.
In monetary terms, the figure exceeded $572 million, reports the Federal Center “Agroexport” of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, citing data from Indian customs.
As a result, Russia’s share in total Indian imports increased from 4.2 to 7.1%. Based on the results of the first quarter, Russia rose to 4th place among the largest suppliers of agricultural products to India.
The main items of Russian export to the republic were sunflower oil, peas, soybean oil and lentils.
