A cabless mini-tractor has been developed in Russia
Cognitive Pilot (a subsidiary of Sberbank and Cognitive Technologies), a Russian developer of autopilot systems, presented an autonomous cabless mini-tractor. The machine is controlled using artificial intelligence.
The company reports that serial production of such mini-tractors is planned to begin in 2025. Now the developers see the main task as determining the exact parameters of the robot’s performance and quality of work, finalizing the design based on test results and interacting with potential clients.
The use of a mini-tractor, which has no analogues in the world, expands the possibilities of using equipment and reduces the technical vulnerability of the farm: thanks to such mini-robots, field work can be flexibly scaled. Operating a technical innovation does not require special skills; the machine itself is delivered to the field using a regular car trailer.
The dimensions of the car are small — 1.4 meters long, 1.5 meters wide and 2.2 meters high. Power – 30 horsepower, weight – 970 kilograms. The operating speed of the machine is from 5 to 20 kilometers per hour when capturing a gun, depending on the type of operation, from 1 to 20 meters.
A 24/7 continuous operation mode is provided (including at night), and there is also the possibility of group or team work. The robot is capable of performing all basic agricultural operations with any mounted implements: sowing, cultivating, harrowing, plowing, spraying, and so on. In the future, it is possible to move only on electric traction.
