As of May 29, the insurance companies of the National Association of Agriculture Insurers (NAAI) — Rosgosstrakh, RSHB-Strakhovanie, AlfaStrakhovanie, VSK — paid more than 350 million rubles to farmers affected by the May frosts. This was reported by the press service of the Association.

In particular, over 285 million rubles were sent to farmers of Volgograd Oblast, more than 38 million rubles were sent to enterprises in Voronezh Oblast, and about 22 million rubles were sent to Rostov Oblast.

“As previously announced, taking into account the need of farmers for funds for replanting, NAAI insurance companies are carrying out loss settlement procedures in an expedited manner, as damage assessment reports are received from regional emergency commissions. The period for settling losses does not exceed two days from the moment the insurance companies receive the package of necessary documents. Settlement of losses continues with the organizational support of the NAAI operational headquarters. NAAI insurance companies have accumulated all the necessary financial resources and are ready to transfer subsequent insurance payments to farmers,” noted NAAI President Korney Bizhdov.

Let us remind you that earlier NAAI stated that insurance payments for losses from frost will tentatively amount to about 1–1.6 billion rubles.
