Ministry of Agriculture Confirms Domestic Flour Supplies to Surpass Demand, Ensuring Price Stability
The Russian Ministry of Agriculture sees no conditions for a significant increase in flour and bread prices, asserting that production will be sufficient to meet domestic demand.
As of June 26, the average selling price for wheat flour stands at 24.9 rubles per kilogram. This represents a 2.9% increase since the end of last year, staying below the inflation rate. Currently, the price is 10.9% lower than it was in the corresponding period of 2022. At the same time, the ministry notes that producers of bakery products and flour are facing increased costs for transportation, packaging, and related expenses.
