Turnover of Russian Fishing Industry Organizations Increases by 14% in the First Quarter of 2024

In the first quarter of 2024, the turnover of organizations involved in the fishing industry amounted to 201.3 billion rubles, which is 14% higher with respect to the first quarter of the previous year, which has been reported by the press service of Rosrybolovstvo with reference to Rosstat data.

According to Rosrybolovstvo, the production of fish products in January – March of this year exceeded 1.2 million tons, which is 4.2% more than the previous year.

“The share of profitable enterprises in January – February 2024 was: among fishing and fish farming enterprises — 58%, among enterprises processing aquatic biological resources — almost 74%,” as reported by the publication.
