Russian Ministry of Agriculture to Hold Talks on Chinese Investment Prospects

Oksana Luth, the Russian Minister of Agriculture, has confirmed her intention to discuss the implementation of investment projects in Russia during a working meeting with representatives from the Chinese province of Heilongjiang.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the working meeting with Xu Qing, the First Secretary of the Committee of the Communist Party of China in Heilongjiang Province and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, focused on discussing the development of agricultural trade, the strengthening of investment cooperation in the agricultural sector, and other pertinent issues.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed a mutual interest in developing long-term partnerships.

The minister noted the annual intensification of interactions between Russia and China. The food trade has demonstrated steady expansion, and significant potential is seen in expanding mutual trade relations with the province. This includes the diversification of supplies, including Russian grains, oilseeds, livestock products, and confectioneries, Oksana Luth said.
