Sergey Dankvert: digital technologies of Rosselkhoznadzor help develop production and new transport corridors

Rosselkhoznadzor is actively using digital technologies to carry out the president’s instructions to increase the production of agricultural products and their exports, said the head of the service, Sergei Dankvert, at a meeting with Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

“We have provided analytical modules, including for regions. That is, we have created modules that today allow us to assess a lot of issues related to the relationship between production and consumption in the region. They make it possible to rate suppliers of regulated products on issues of counterfeiting and safety, and to identify unnecessary intermediaries, alternative manufacturers, and alternative suppliers. This all works today, we can show it all for each region. As for the direct participation of artificial intelligence in our work, by launching the first 5 modules, we increased by 13 times over a comparable period of time the efficiency of taking administrative preventive measures,” noted Sergey Dankvert.

Artificial intelligence introduced into the work of the Mercury veterinary certification system collects primary data, which is analyzed by Rosselkhoznadzor employees for violations. This is a discrepancy between the volume of raw materials and the type of product, lack of raw materials, changes in expiration dates, suspicious routes and transportation times, and unsuitable vehicles.

Thanks to rapid analysis and response to threats, the service successfully ensures the functioning of new transport corridors and an increase in the supply of agricultural products. These are China, Iran and Turkey, emphasized Sergei Dankvert. Thus, supplies of vegetables and fruits to the Russian Federation have increased from almost all countries, including the EAEU. “From Armenia almost twice. Supplies from Turkey, Iran and other countries have increased significantly,” the head of Rosselkhoznadzor emphasized. He clarified that the service had moved the quality control of agricultural products in advance to adjacent territories and temporary storage warehouses in order to speed up transportation.
